Corporate Giving Program Overview
We know by creating opportunities to support our local not-for-profit and charitable partners, we’re driving change and empowering others to do more. That’s why we aim to invest in programs and initiatives that provide people in our communities the tools and resources they need to grow, thrive, and live life to its fullest!
TMMC has two programs for financial giving: Community Carpool and Driving Change.
Community Carpool
TMMC’s Community Carpool Program is focused on organizations that support the pillars listed below. These donations and sponsorships can range from just a hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.

Requests that impact large numbers of people, are innovative or show continuous improvement, and exhibit clear, measurable goals and objectives are prioritized.
Process
- Complete the request form
- Additional information and sponsorship packages can be sent to communications@tmmc.ca
- Quality over quantity is appreciated.
- Clearly state your organization’s purpose and what you are requesting.
- Requests are reviewed monthly by the Donations Committee. Please give 6-8 weeks for review and response.
- Every request will receive a response.

Driving Change
TMMC’s Driving Change Program covers major donation requests that align with the focus areas listed below. Major donations are defined as donations of $25,000 and more.
Program Focus Areas
- Mobility – reducing or removing barriers to movement
- Environmental Sustainability
- Workforce Readiness – STEM education and employment
- Community Gap*
*TMMC makes a significant contribution to the United Way annually to address gaps in the community. Requests that have a strong connection to the first three focus areas are prioritized.
Process
- Submit your questions and information package to external.affairs@toyota.com
- Quality over quantity is appreciated.
- Clearly state your organization’s purpose and request.
- Provide full contact information, including address, email, etc.
- Requests are reviewed by Executive Committee quarterly, with announcements made in March, June, September, and December.
- Every request will receive confirmation of receipt and a final decision.

Drive your Submission Success
Things we’re looking for in your submission:
- Must be a registered Canadian charity or not-for-profit organization.
- Must be an organization with local presence (in or around Waterloo Region or Oxford County, Ontario, Canada.)
Funding Restrictions
The following are not eligible for funding in our giving programs:
- Individuals
- Private schools
- Operating costs
- Individual teams
- Travel costs
- Religious, political, or labour organizations
The information above represents the focus for 2025.
It will be reviewed on a regular schedule.

Please Note: To be fair to new requests, TMMC may or may not fund repeat requests and may choose to alternate years of support. We welcome your requests and are committed to reviewing and responding to each one on an individual basis.
